At a guess a bog stocko oil filter?

3 points to our lucky winner!

It is a oil filter that suits virtually all 6 cyl Falcons ever made, and some early V8's as well. Not the new V8's though, they stop using AFL1's on V8's when Ford released the 220kw 5.0 Windsor's and some of the T series dont use AFL1's as well.

There we go, you can all sleep better better tonight knowing that!

I won't name the dealer for obvious reasons but I have had nothing but trouble with mine.

Nearly every time I have a problem the standard response is "we don't know anything about that". Most of the fixes they have done for me I have given the dealer the instructions and solution after locating the answers on this website.

I was having a stalling problem 3 days before driving 1,000 kms and when I asked the dealer for a simple favour, connect the diagnostic computer and check for fault codes then re-flash the ECU, I was told they were too busy and I would need to book it in when I returned 2,500 kms later. BULLsh*t IMO the job takes all of about 15 mins.

As I couldn't get it done here I drove to Adelaide and stopped at the dealer I originally purchased the car from. The same question was asked and the answer.... sure mate drive her in and we'll check it out right away. Even though they had a full workshop.

No fault was found but they had a newer software version for the ECu which was loaded. 20 mins later I drove out and the fault hasn't returned since.

To my current service department :flippingfinger: :kissmy:

To the guys at Rebel Ford in Adelaide who I am returning to in 2 weeks when I move :thumbsup:

*laughs* I'm getting an AFL1 and sump of fresh today at my slightly (1500km) late 3000km 'inspection'....

It's out your way ms700, in Mitchell.

Falchoon do you use Mitchell or Braddon Gregorys?

I think dealers are probably more helpful to people that actually bought their car from them and not somewhere else, it's just there way of getting back at you for buying somewhere else.

Braddon Aaron, the spare parts guy at Mitchell is too shifty for my liking

I know Kitty doesn't like Braddon but as far as servicing goes they have been great for me.

*nods* The sales 'team' at Braddon can worship my hairy freckle.....

Haven't tried their service crowd obviously, but figured I'd give Mitchell a go as it runs completely devoid of the stigma of Braddon (despite being owned by the same group).

With ms700 boasting about the 1350 AFL1s in stock I figure I can't go wrong ;)

A.

Probably don't actually have any oil in stock though...I heard that spare parts guy spends all day on the 'net surfing for p0rn instead of ordering parts
