A couple of small warranty concerns; the rattling heat shields on the exhaust, the engine fan belt rubbing on the pulley and a small metallic rattle sounded like it was coming from RHF suspension area. I informed the service guy about these and he noted them down and then he told me about another problem that Ford are checking as the cars come in for service, a problem with the intermediate shaft that connects the steering column with the rack. He then asked the workshop foreman to go for a drive with me to try and identify the RHF suspension rattle. While we were on the test drive the foreman noticed that the heater fan was making a noise, even after he pointed it out to me I still couldn't hear any noise, but hey, if they want to fix it under warranty who am I to argue?!A couple of hours later I got a phone call saying they found a screw in one of the front tyres and did I want it fixed. That was good. No surprises waiting when I get the bill.It turns out the exhaust rattle couldn't be fixed today, they have to order some shields and clamps. Ditto for heater fan. The steering shaft was OK, affects about 1 in 30 cars apparently. The metallic rattle from RHF was traced down to loose wheel centre cap which is also on backorder - bloody slack spare parts guys, don't carry anything in stock...*looks over at MS700*The car was ready and waiting out the front of the dealer at the agreed time, there were no greasy marks anywhere and the service guy explained everything that was done and needed to be done. Couldn't ask for better service really. With all the negative posts about lousy service I thought I would post a positive experience. Well done Gregorys! You'd be suprised how many we still use! Most AU's (6 cyl) still use them, all BA 6 cyl use them, a few Exploders (explorer!) use them, some others I cant think of right now...... FYI last time I checked we had about 1350 AFL1's in stock! Sell about 800 a month.
