My worry is the two bolts that back out of the turbo one I could tighten but there is one under the oil feed line where it bolts on to the turbo that’s still easy an inch backed out I’ll have to put lock tight or something on them .......

so do you know what I mean by the bolts that bolts the rear housing the the centre ??

I about to change injectors and dyno tune it but I’m glad I’ve come across this before hand thanks for quick reply Keith

Yes, it's common. And yes, that bolt is difficult to get to, to tighten it appropriately. Try attacking it from underneath with a wobble joint on an socket extension.

Yeah I've had bolts fall out of mine and they're a PITA when they do. Don't let them get that far. I've since had the holes drilled and helicoiled as some were cracked, hence the constant loosening.

Pays to check them regularly

2011 fg xr6t manual ute 70,000klms

  • microswitch under brake pedal replaced, worked 50% of the time
  • fuel level sender died, new in tank pump assembly required
  • clutch slave cylinder died, inside of bell housing
  • tried to get spare key programmed, instrument cluster died ( I <3 Bananas expensive spare key very rare problem apparently)
  • upper control arm bushes died, K-mac kit installed
  • tray lid locking mechanism broke
  • gear shift boot currently falling apart
  • both internal door levers broke
  • windscreen washer bottle motor died
  • brief rattle on top of engine on cold start (hopefully this is a timing chain tensioner problem, all timing gear will be replaced with atomic products shortly)
  • thermostat seal died

I think that's about it

I agree with adam on the sender. ford replaced mine under warranty at the time.

Recently got my 2011 FG Xr6T manual sorted with the suspension. Control arms were replaced too.

Then again the car does have 104k on the clock.

My driver side door leaver fell apart in my hands. I simply took out the door panel and broke the welds.

replaced the handle and put screens in place of the welds.

Car is going in this week for a new clutch, but that is due to the extra power the car has. 500 ponies at the wheels is not stock power.
