They are all 10mm bolts.I noticed when I did mine that atleast half of them were fairly loose.

gkors Member 32 Member For: 13y 5m 13d Posted 21/08/11 11:35 AM Author Share Posted 21/08/11 11:35 AM Thanks guys.I'm guessing the same goes for the pivot bushes? Sway bar bushes worth doing while its all out too?Are you suggesting the nolathane red type of bush? are these from bursons not ford etc.Don't mind doing it all but would this stuff be covered under the extended warranty? the tensioner bearing is clapped as well should I just take it back to fraud will they just do the bits without a $500 bill or should I just ask for the parts. What sort of dollars are we looking at for the ball joints so I know if im getting ripped or not, this is going to be one hell of a $$ service with 4 new tyres I guess the benefit is its actually being serviced.I can see if I take it to them they will say you need a rotate and balance and the wiper blades need doing too. Will get to the intake manifold when everything comes out to do the turbo line. The fuel filter will get the vice grips on next time, funny thing is my standard ford filter has had one of the edges rounded where some monkey has put the wrong spanner on it, no doubt they just take them out and wash them out and put back in. So yesterday I'm talking to the wanker there about it and he confirms lower control arm bushes, yeah she's all good we'll do it under warranty no problems. So they have the car for 4-5 hours then ring me, 1 ball joint 1 shock 1 $190 tensioner bearing, labour to fit blah blah blah we are talking around $450 I was close. no problem with the control bushes they rekon. I hit the f*cking roof and went and saw them. Then its 3 x ball joints after talking to him, said can you just do the bloody 4th one while the car is appart and get f*cked doing one shock do the 2. Wouldn't budge, wouldn't give me the parts to do it myself. So I told them to stick the car the warranty and their services up their arse and left. Will be writing a letter of complaint to ford. What a waste of time, I have bought new bushes ball joints and had the car stripped in a couple of hours.Any suggestions as to what brand of strut to get? Doing it yourself if you are capable is definitely the way to go, pity they aint covering it under warranty.
