The temp seems to climb very quickly and the fans can't seem to keep up.Has anyone else noticed problems like this? And by the way yes I have it booked in to be checked.CheersChris

Some cars have a problem with dodgy o ring in the water pump that lets the coolant leak out, maybe this is happening to you?

Only seen it hit halfway once and that was after some very spirited driving in hot weather and it only stayed there for a few minutes, then went to the usual spot. As I disovered later, it was slowly dropping coolant from the water pump. Eventually got the temp all the way over to the right, and it was time to take it in for a new O ring on the water pump. I found a new BA fairmont the other day that had done 7k and had never had the engine fans connected from being built! amazing what can be wrong! Was in a work mates car last week & its guage went nutty, warning buzzer going off. Car went into limp mode, stopped a couple of times, went slowly, eractically, but did get us to the dealership eventually. I was stating that if this happened that my swmbo would heap more sh*te on me than even you lot would be able. I think she likes making me feel miserable.Scotty
