Geea I paid about $400 to get the line pressure increased. Im not totally sure whats involved in this procedure! It makes the car shift quicker as well, doesnt affect the comfort at all really. Was your car flareing under normal driving or was it only when full throttle? Also geaa has the dealer gotten any fault codes from your car or isnt the CPU recording any faults?

The car was only flaring under full throttle during the 2-3 change. I haven't asked about any fault codes but I will. :pinch:

I got the line pressure done at C&V Performance in Waterloo, The mechanicals in the box are holding up fine so far although it was only rebuilt at christmass time. Still has a slight Glitch but I believe it to be elctrical and the boys at C&V are going to have another look at it for me so it should be cool their auto guy is spot on from what I hear. The quality in shift is better and quicker than standard and I believe its a necceserty when uping power levels.

With the Redline fluid how many litres does a transmission hold and is it something I can change my self or would the service bloke have to do it?

Lot of bloody questions really.

Hi geea, REDLINE filled into your auto costs @ $300, you can't do it yourself because you need to completely drain the torque convertor. I still think it was a very worthwhile investment. When you read the data, it will disperse heat quicker than normal ATF running through the usual factory radiator cooling then an after market oil cooler. You can buy it in all states and your workshop will know where to get it, your service manual will tell you how many litres your machine will need.:kissmy:

hi guys,

I know that mine is an xr8 and I'm not sure if they are the same box, but I had the same probs (flair between 2nd and 3rd). this problem has been going on since new. at first I was told that it would settle down (this was approx 1500ks). then when it didn't they said that they would replace the valve body at the 3000k inspection.I got down the road and it was still a problem so I took it back. the service manager said that I didn't know what I was talking about so I took him for a drive and showed him. since then I have had 3 new(????) valve bodies put in and the problem is still there. I have given up and have traded it in. should get my new one next week. hope it is better than the old one.

I personally think its the CPU or something. I cant see how its the valve body when its only happening between 2nd and 3rd.

Anyway what would I know.

does anyone know the implications of of swapping over computers, if I had a mate with a T and I put his computer in my car would there be anything else I would have to do other than swapping computers?????
