OwnaXR6T, sorry to hear of your troubles, will be interested in the mods they do to beef it up.

I have the sss now your starting to scare me, how many k's were on your box, and as some indication of how hard you drive what are your tyres like assuming the still the originals?

ive got 40000, I do fog it a bit, but most the km are done on the hwy and I dont fog it on the hwy. im on my second tyres but not because they are worn out only because of bubles in the side walls caused by pot holes. although the fronts need changing soon after having done around 25000km.

KT I am getting the box rebuilt with some mods, not sure on what parts will be modded yet but should have details tommorrow when I hopefully get it back.

I finally have my car back,(28 Jan 230pm) and I booked it in at the dealer for the auto repair. It is bing done on Tuesday morning. While there I spoke to a few people and apparently the orriginal valve body had one of the openings too small and this was causing the problem from 2-3 at full noise. The revised valve body has apparently rectified this. After I pick up the car I'll let everyone know if its fixed.

geea, sorry to rain on your parade, but I had this done and it didn't fix it. let me know how you go.

I was told the problem could be the TPS sensor! Because when u slightly lift your foot(5mm) from the accelerator the car usually pulls gear. that's of course if your gearbox hasnt been wrecked to much by the flairing in the 1st place!

Well its a maybe anyway!

exelent, so do u think this might be a recall type of thing?

Do u know if they have fitted any of these new valve bodys to other T's?

Well anyway good luck!

Dont think it will be a recall as it only happens at 140kmph. My dealer has fitted others, not sure on how many or results.

How much and what sort of damage would the flaring do?

What parts of the auto would this damage?

How many times would the auto need to flare to cause this damage?

Would the auto be damaged by normal driving and not getting the car to the flaring stage?

I think that's enough questions for now.

About this rain, I'd better go buy an umbrella. :smilielol:

Got the car back form the dealer. The first run 2-3 flat out was good. The ones after had a slight flare just at the change. Its the best its been but not perfect. I spoke to the service manager and was told that the CPU has been reset and needs to relearn the changes. Was told this takes upto 20 shifts. He said if its not right by tomorrow morning to give him a ring.

What is the TPS sensor? If its still not right I'll mention that to him.

Went for a ride in XRdreaming's car. For a purple ute its not bad. :censored: Ok his car is awesome and I cant wait to try to convince the wife that if he has those mods that I NEED them too.

Throttle position sensor. if u are flat out at about 5000rpm u can lift your foot by about 5mm which doesnt seem to affect the rate of acceleration and the car will pull gear no problem. So it could be a problem with TPS sensor! Have u had the pressure in your auto increased yet?

I have tried it out tonight and it only slightly flared twice out of 10-12 attempts. I will give the TPS idea a spin and see what happens. What is needed to be done to increase the pressure in the auto and what sort of prices would I be looking at? Also how would it effect the driving of the car?

With the Redline fluid how many litres does a transmission hold and is it something I can change my self or would the service bloke have to do it?

Lot of bloody questions really.
