Mine was in today and I had some problems with the diagnostic process of making my car repeat its problem. so my mate who is a mechanic that is looking after my car had to take them for a spin to make the problem happen which he did, then resulting in the ford guys saying they kept getting a incorrect diagnosic code from the computer. that they claim is related to the chip. lucky for me I reported this problem befor my mods. they are now saying they want to take the unichip off so they can get a correct code. I cant see how that will work, wont that stuff everything to do with the new injectors etc? I then called Croydon to see why they are getting wrong codes from the ecu, they said they shouldnt be getting any problems what so ever. anyway I gave the guys at the dealership croydons number to discuss whats happening. so now all I can do is wait to see what happens tommorrow!

:o Ah ha, I've been buggerising around with new injectors for a week (400cc) behind a UNICHIP, guess what the codes come up and the gearbox drops into limp mode, back to standard injectors for me. The guys a FORMAZ here in Perth have been the most patient and helpful mechanics I've ever dealt with, I would have burned my T to the ground over this issue. I think two things, 1) either the injectors are faulty at new or, 2) those guys who have fitted bigger ones just havn't got the code problem YET as for me I've given up UNICHIP stage one and an XR8 airbox will do. I'm beginning to beleive that the developers of performance packages for these cars aren't as developed as they think they are. There must a few fuming mechanics out there. I think the Ts need a lot more development yet to go beyond stage the so-called stage one. But if you live in WA try FORMAZ at least they know how to fit and tune.

I dont believe there is anything wrong with the codes though, I think these guys at ford are craping on abit, im going to get the line pressure in my auto increased, hopefully that will fix this, well the guy from aps said it should work, he also said there should be no problems getting the codes from my computer? my car did this befor my unichip was installed but now it does it everytime, probably due to the extra torque., im going into c and v this morning they are only down the road, ill book it in for the shift kit for $300 bucks, if this doesnt help, I don't know what ill do. But my car isnt going into limp mode at all and I beleive that the aps kit is awesome and fully developed. My problem is ford saying that they want the computer back to its origional condition befor they fix anything so they can make sure it does it in standard condition as well! but there is no way im pulling off anything!

hey geea if your going to be chatting with your ford dealer could u ask him for the part number for the new valve body, if worst comes to worse ill just pay for the new valve body it cant be that much!

increasing the line pressure to bring the clutches together didnt work, but when draining the oil chucks and lots of shavings came out with fully black oil.. I wouldnt think u would have to get codes out of my computer to diagnose this problem. anyway cant be bothered arguing with these idiots at the newcastle ford dealer. and now that I cant get third gear im just going to have to get it fixed bad time of yeah. typical ford dealer mentality it is so obvious that this is clearly bullcrap used to get out of warrenty. they said if I remove the aps kit and the gear box flairs and has the same problem they'll fix it. well I cant see how taking the kit off is going to change the fact the oil is black and there was metal floating around. well all isnt so bad at least my box wont be returned to its original condition it will be having some upgrade parts im told that should make it handle the phase 2 kit. an standard condition this auto is going to be a big problem even for the standard T. if I had the time and the patience id make ford fix it but after all the fighting and hastling it just wouldnt be worth it, id be off the road for ages. had to get it done, if there was anyway of legally making them pay for some of the repair im getting done id do it, shouldnt be hard to prove that there was no way my box could be this bad after about 400km and 2 weeks in the aps kit and also the fact I had reported the flairing a week befor my kit. and booked it in about a week after fitting the kit. Just appauling. anyway as I said christmas and the hastle of arguing black and blue and having my car toed etc etc would probably see me off the road for weeks maybe even over a month. im going to seek advise with the dept of fair traidind to see if I have a legal leg to stand on. they should never have turned my car away thus forcing me to have it repaired elsewhere due to their absolute incooperation! quote as told by my friend who organised my car to be booked in. They said we dont care if u reported the problem we just cant get correct codes from your computer due to the different computer( that isnt even a different computer just a unichip doesnt affect the code read out) liars liars liars shame on you ****** ford ****** just appauling cant see how its anyskin off your back. the mechanic there diognosing the flairing said he didnt notice the problem and my friend had to take him for a drive to show him, what the!! sorry just mad so I guess bit of this post will be deleted because I named the dealer, but I think everyone should hear what a great attitude have. No cars of mine will ever be bought from any of their lots no matter what make I chose next.

anyway ill post a list of what has been changed from standard when I get the car back.

Edit: He was right no naming of workshops allow.

I'm with you NT TURBO.

Owna if I copped service like that, I would just stand in the dealership and start screaming. O r even better stiil park it outside thre dealership with a Lemon sign on the roof and an arrow pointing to the new car lot.

I did that once to Armstrong Expensive Daewoo in Brisbane once over a crappy VS I bought. Time it took to get them to come to the party, 23 Minutes! Don't put up with a fob off like that especially at xmas time. Anyway get onto Ford themselves and demand a new box like everybody else seems to get if they need it
