Its an F6 Clutch guys - Twin plate AP Racing. Plenty of people have had them to 350. If you don't drive it with too much slipping/dumping you will be fine at your power level.

If it's not slipping, dont replace it, simple as that. But factor in the cost of upgrading in the event it does start.

When you are ready, depending on where you're located, have a word with Race Brakes Sydney. You might find, the above can be had a little cheaper...

Also, for those wondering the difference between 3 and 3+ its the coppermix friction plate and billet faced pressure plate.

The 3+ being billet is also lighter (as in the rotating mass). However the clutch feel is apparently as heavy as stock, but I would say its still much lighter.

The option 4 will be too harsh for street driving, hence being not as popular as the Opt 3+.

The prices are all very similar, ild go the opt4 for an extra $100

The 3+ is rated to high 300s, but can hold low 400s. Feels like stock.

The opt 3+ is 410rwkw...

Correct me if I am wrong guys, but doesn't the AP racing twin plate in the BF F6 handle 350-380RWKW without too many worries?

Tobey, you mentioned Race Brakes Sydney in your earlier post. Do they do upgrades to beef up the the AP clutch?

I would have thought that this would be the best solution if that is the case. Its a good clutch, so just upgrade the friction material on the friction plates and hey presto.

I wouldn't be expecting it to last past 350, especially if it gets taken down the stip at all...

My early BA 2 phoon ran a PB of 18.1 @ 96 kph after 1 pass.320 rwkw

The smoke is supposed to come from behind the rear wheels not in front :crybaby:

Ah, that reminds me, and no-one has mentioned it.

Just upgrade the plates in the clutch like Craig. has said. There is a couple of places that do the coppermix/composite plates. I'm sure RBS could sort it out with the supplier they use! Best to give Matt a call.

Might be the way it was driven :stirthepot:

Plenty of people have run then at 350, albeit that's right on the limit, but they have still done it.

Possiby, was trying to slip it off the line, though being an early Phoon I'm still not convinced

the clutch fix that delayed the launch( one or more of the mags lunched the clutch) was carried out correctly.

We will never know :dontknow:
