Saw a ad in the local paper that show daryl shave tyre works in dandenong using nitrogen instead of air in the tyre's. $35 for all for wheels. They say tyres will never need filling as long as there is no leaks. Anyone used it and pro's and con's.

Have done previously but not at the moment (probably will next time I get new tyres).

It's worth it in the sense that you don't have to constantly top them up, and if they do require it the place that fitted them will usually do it for free. But it's useless if you intentionally vary your pressures occasionally.

Total waste of money in a road car.

80% of normal air is nitrogen and tyre places use the marketing hype to try to differentiate themselves from others.

If you are racing your car, then there are some benefits in using it, but for road cars it is pointless and certainly not worth the money. Buy a case of beer with your $35 as it will be put to better use

Another con is they have to put the stupid red caps on your valves...so it may cramp your style.

I am not a hater Trent, just hate the way this is hyped up as some miracle gas for tyres bangcomputer.gif

Charging $35 to fill your tyres with 20% more placebo gas is not my idea of good value.

It will not do any harm, just do not expect to see any results, oh and while your getting Nitrogen in your tyres, I can sell you some Firepower for your fuel, a power chip for your ECU and a Hyclone for your intakepleasantry.gif
