Hey guys,

I own an fg xr6 t which is all stock except for an ss growler, I have had the new growler on it for about 2 months, just last night I had my car in neutral and I revved but as soon as it close to where my boost kicks in it would die out.. I tried a few times and it kept happening, I don't really flog the car and wouldn't know if I got boost cut off while driving hard or at what revs it happens at..

I was just wondering if this was boost cut off due to the car needing a tune? Or something else, it also happened in my bf after I installed a hdi intercooler.. Any help would be great, as I am almost in the process of having parts put on and tuned to top 300kw at the wheels hopefully. But if this isn't a problem from nit tuning help would be great so I could get it resolved..

Thanks

Sam

The cars don't rev out in neutral.

If you wouldn't notice a problem because you don't drive hard then why spend money modifying the car at all?

As above your car wont rev when in neutral. This is designed to prevent people reving their engines right up and dropping it into drive for launching.

If your car goes fine when driving then everything is fine.

I'd liike to modify my car because there are certain things I don't like in the fg series while stock, for example the pull isn't as great as my bf was and would like more boost. I also want a different sound to what it has now something a little louder so I will do a full exhaust, and seeing as I'd be doing this I will now need a tune so I might as well do it properly and go for the 300 + mark, it's not all about driving hard there is more to it..
