Fg Style Plenum Or Plazmaman?

Hey guys, prepare for a long post :blaah:

I've got a BA with the usual mods and have around 370rwkw, and I'm not too sure whether to go BA Plazmaman (or equivalent) plenum, or FG style. Any ideas?

I can get both for around the same price, so figured the FG one would be the way to go as people are having good results with them.

I'm a mechanic, so fitting will be okay, but was wondering if the FG style plenums require any mods to the head etc to fit (I'm assuming they wouldn't)?

Lastly, I'll probably fit an aftermarket fuel rail with twin feeds and a second 044 at the same time, do people usually go -6 or -8 lines?

Was thinking -6 supply and -8 return, but I'm open to suggestions.

Cheers in advance

you dont need a -8 return that's massive, I made up a rail for a mate putting a fg manifold on a ba, we just used -6 feed and -6 return. the head is the same as fg so bolts up the same. if it was me instead of running 2 fuel lines. I would just have a joiner block at the pumps then run a single -8 line to the rail and a -6 return, and I would have one of the pumps run off a pressure switch so kicks in at 5psi or so..or just run both pumps but have the voltage regulatored then with a pressure switch give full volts at 5psi or so...keeps the noise down and doesnt spend half the time just pump fuel up and back.

Cheers guys, I think I'll just go -6 as suggested. I'm going to keep it twin entry with the return in the centre simply for better pressure distribution.

I won't be starting it for a while but I'll put up some pics when I'm done.

Cheers.

I would like to know the answer to the heading, which style of plenum is better and why. FG style or front entry. All and any opinions will be appreciated :)

On XFT's car "2muchkw" they have changed to a front entry plenum so it must be better for the 1000hp range. Dont see many people changing them though from what ive heard so maybe not much to gain compared to cost?

I like the idea of center fed better but as most aftermaket ones are from the front there must be a reason for it. Can't just be because they are easier to plumb up??

I reckon If they designed a center entry with larger volume (ie. FG style but bigger volume) it'd be perfect!
