Summernats 25, 2012.

January Thursday 5th - Sunday 8th 2012, Exhibition Park, Canberra.

I was just posting to see if anyone would be interested in attending Summernats next year. I would be going for the whole 4-day event as I reckon its pointless going for just one or 2 or the days.

All information can be found at www.summernats.com.au

Summernats has been an event well known to the car scene all around Australia, the biggest horsepower party that Australia's seen, dating back to 1988 when it all started. Each year up to 1500 of the toughest Aussie elite street machines and over 85,000 spectators turn up to Summernats, with big names coming from all sides of the country. Its an action packed, fun 4-day event. With events from Burnout Masters Eliminations, Go Woah, Horsepower Heroes and Show & Shine as they find 2012's Street Machine Summernats Grand Champion. And of course henz is *beep* but also who can forget the search for Miss Summernats?!

With plenty of exhibitions and shows, your days will be jammed packed.

The event schedule can be found here, http://www.summernat...ID=11&PageID=81

Again in 2012 they have concerts on, Friday night they Drapht, Children Collide and Nat Cole & the Kings playing.

You can book your own hotel/motel but it's just not the same as camping AT summernats ;)

Camping prices are as follows;

There's no better place to camp than in the Summernats.

We have all the facilities you need to have a great camping holiday, either with your mates or your family (no reason they can't be both we guess!)

Check out the late night Camper's Bar with music and happy hour prices.

There's plenty of camping options, with powered and non-powered sites available.

Adult Season Camper - Powered Site $70

Child Season Camper - Powered Site $25

Adult Season Camper - Un-powered Site $60

Child Season Camper - Un-powered Site $20

And for an additional fee of $110 you can have your car beside your tent – and you get a $50 rebate for your car parking when you leave (terms and conditions apply).

You can bring your own gear just like a regular camping trip, or if you want the convenience of it all being set up for you, check out the brand new Summernats Tent City.

As always, it's heaps cheaper to book in advance.

Anyway, be great to hear from people if they'd go, or are going! The more the merrier and should be something every Aussie should do once in their life! Cruise route will be organised later on but probably just get on the hume asap and sit on the cruise! Hope to hear from you all :)

Righto... forget about just spectating.

Save some money and be an entrant...

Entrant Information:

WHO CAN ENTER THE SUMMERNATS?

Ultimately, the people coming to the Summernats want to see cars that are different.

And the Summernats is world famous for showing off the cool … the tuff … the elite … the angry … and sometimes the plain crazy street machines that make our event the mecca for modified cars.

Our entrant cars should look and sound different to the family hack, the new car showroom, or most of what you see in the supermarket car park.

We accept cars that are unique although, Henz is *beep*, they may have only a few changes, or cars with only a few obvious changes but which are extremely well-detailed.

Generally, entered cars must be obviously modified or customised. That’s the basic thing that sets a Summernats entrant apart from the every day machine on the road.

If you’re still unsure after reading the Entrant Advice Sheet, just call us and we’ll give you some advice.

At the Summernats we want to encourage and inspire people to enter their cars – we’re not an exclusive club, but we don’t take just any old banger.

HOW DO I ENTER

It’s simple.

1. Download the Entrant Form (includes the Entrant Advice Sheet + Camping Forms)

2. Read the Entrant Advice Sheet carefully

3. Call the Summernats office if you need advice 02 6241 8111

4. Fill the Entrant Form in and send it to us

You can be confident that cars with plenty of extras, especially obvious ones, will be accepted. If you haven’t got a lot done, make sure your car is super clean inside and underneath (a coat of black paint underneath sometimes makes a big difference).

The more information you put on your Entry Form, the easier it will be for you and us.

DOWNLOAD ENTRANT FORM Here:

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST

The prices are clearly marked in the Entrant Form, and it’s great value remembering your Entrant prices includes a four day pass to the Nats.

There are other great deals on buddy passes for your mates and camping too.

Before 31 July $130

1 August to 31 October $190

1 November to 9 December $280

10 December to 31 December $330

January 1 to Event $400

Like everything else in life, the earlier you get in, the cheaper it is. <--- that's what she said

I'll be driving up, we have been going up for a couple of years now. 3-4 cars each time. Usually leave home (melton 30mins west cbd) at around 6am and just cruise up and get there around 3pm or there abouts on the Thursday. Crazy atmoshere and the night life in town goes off.
