Well after a long trek finally got my G6E just where I want and the look I was after. I think all the waiting, screwing around and $$$$$ was well worth it.

Thanks to all the forum members who made comments and gave opinions, I think the FPV GT-E wheels in black suit the G6E and Harrops perfectly.

Got the wheels back today from the powder coater(cannot recommend highly enough Diamond Powder Coaters in Welshpool for WA members) great job, look superb. They are now on the car and I have added a couple of photos, sorry about the quality, will take some better full car outside shots later. Also added a couple of Iphone shots of my brakes when the wheels were off.

Had a couple of minor issues due to the clearcoat added to the powder coat, the coating process has added some thickness thru the centre hub so I have had to file/sand back the FPV alloy centre caps inner profile. Very fiddly but think I got it right, may have to have them machined to get them perfect.

Those FPV centre caps aren't cheap either but at least they are easier to get than these GT 5th ann rims were to find.

The profile of the wheel inner hub where the centres go is now very different. not stepped like stock, more curved and vary a little wheel to wheel due to the flow of the paint when done. I chipped one of the wheels accidently inside the recess experimenting what needed to be done so machining/or smoothing the caps is the only real option

If I loose one it's not the end of the world, even toying having them painted black anyway so still a liitle more to do maybe.

It opens up at a certain user defined boost level, so if your wastegate fails on you (or something else goes wrong) and your turbo starts making crazy high boost it opens up the valve and lets the excess boost out, saving your engine from going boom :)
