My own software.

Nope, Haydn used to have a Xcal1, but not even that is usable now. I connect my laptop direct to the OBD port.

Ive been able to tune the auto for over 2 years, But we are looking into replacing the input shaft.. The input shaft has been very well known for twisting and breaking.. There's multiple threads of this dating back to when the 6 speed came out. If it had less power, then no problems.. My territory has its 6 speed tuned for the past year.

WTF!? I thought these were all secrets! lol

So headsex. How come it's taken SCT so long to work it out. They should have gone straight to you?

Read his post above pazzo. The guy is a whiz and given the time coulda shoulda woulda had a product out years ago that would put SCT to shame and then some. Headsex FTW :turboboink:

They are secrets :P

They could have come to me but I would have said no.

Tuning the ZF was/is very simple, Flashing the TCM is identical to the PCM, except of the 7E1 address, and a smaller transfer buffer size. And Finding the calibration tables was also simple due to what I like to call a "Table of Index" at the start of the calibration section.

More put sct outta business, $700 for a flash box is a farkin joke.

Fact is every company in this industry, needs a way of generating a income. Usually based on per VIN. A flashbox is a great way of doing this.

A Flashbox also has other benefits.

What I do disagree is that a company produces a version 1 of a device, then superceed it with version 2, and a version 3 without any new features, then lock out version 1 and 2 from operation to generate more incoming from existing owners.

That alone has burned them with alot of tuners worldwide, enough for them to see alternative Tuning programs.

I no longer use SCT/Capa/Herrod software.

So Headsex how does 1 get a tune by you?

Join the queue... I don't tune full time.

Technically using a flash box, there is also a 5 minute upload period to the xcal1.. So its a 10 minute turn around, provided you havent gone for a coffee inbetween.

I can flash a blackoak pcm in 15-20 seconds, and a spanishoak pcm in about 35seconds. All done direct from my laptop with a obd interface cable.
