Newbie To Fg Xr6T

So here goes,

Bought a fg xr6turbo, loom, ecu, starter etc etc. Its going into my gu patrol after my zd30 grenaded itself and this seemed to be a good idea and possibly a one of a kind into a gu. I am getting an xcal3, injectors, full exhaust, fmic for it and I want minimum 400bhp with the 33" tyres on. I have seen alot of people on here liking the work of "Blueboost" my (stupid) question is who is he/them and what contact details can I get to call em up and ask for their input on injectors and valvesprings before I take it for a tune there.

Cheers Guys, Yeah it will be interesting but it'll be hella fun when complete... Ill try get onto dave in the next few days and have a chat as to what injectors and if so valvesprings he wants in there for the tune.

Did I mention I paid $5500 for all the motor etc, with 5400km's on it :D

pretty common for these motors to die isnt it?

how bout a rebuild instead?

how much work is involved into getting this to not only make power but fit in? what tranny is going in? there is going to be some serious modifications to make this work.

They come out with 4l petrol straight 6s, so fitting the ford one in shouldn't be to hard. Some custom work yea, but all sorts of things have been done to these patrols.

The patrol 4l can make good power too though, over 1000hp. A mate in mackay that builds alot of tough 4wd's has over 400rwhp in his daily diesel patrol.

I've driven a mates diesel ute with a gt35 on it and it's still painfully slow though, sounds mad though.

Well I couldnt find a good 4.2l turbo deisel for under 9k second hand. a reco zd30 is 7k with 30 day warranty, rebuild proffesionally are about the 8-12k mark depending on what parts u use, nissan do a rebuild kit with short motor for 15k. this seems fun and powerful so im happy with the choice. It will be running the standard patrol box and transfere case with a dellow automotive conversion bellhousing and custom engine mounts and custom exhaust that about the most major work involved and im getting the two harness's mated together by a conversion expert in brissy. Quick question. im getting a bosch 044 inline pump from surge to motor, what size walbro fo u recommend for intank to fill the surge? with a 255lph be enough?
