6 Speed Semi-Auto (Tiptronic)

Hi all,

Another noob question, but here it goes,

If I end up getting the Automatic (semi-auto) and start changing the gears up and down, down gearing and stuff like that, does it harm the the gearbox or is it made for things like that?

I was thinking if I get the maneuel I might start getting sick of it while im stuck in traffic and yeahhh, also, is there much lag in changing the gears in the semi-auto?
