I found this strange after fitting a walbro pump into my bf xr6 turbo that my fuel economy has gone from 14.7l/100kms to about 14.3l/100kms, after a week or so of driving it slowly changed down to what it is now.

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or is it just one of those strange unexpected things.

Should not have any effect at all.

Did you disconnect the battery when you fitted the new pump?

No other changes at all and I didn't bother disconnecting the battery so I have no idea why it's getting better economy but it definitely has.

Sorry, a little off topic, but does it take a little longer to start your car, especially cold start, after fitting the walbro pump?

no not at all, same as before.

I have bigger injectors in it so I have more of an issue with them then the pump. Soon I will be changing the injectors

Yeah Kris I cant wait,

I am still getting all the parts ready so I can take it to Mick and get him to tune it.

All I have to go now is the intercooler kit and the exhaust, then its straight on the phone to Mick to get the car booked in
