And boost should start at 100kpa and 110 kPa should equate 1.5 Psi. I'm only going by what I know from my MAP OBD2 Boost kPa Gauge. Others will know more. But definitely doesn't sound right. Check play in the throttle by hand too maybe? Interesting to see what it is. Good luck and nice buy for a P-plater. No pun intended.
Damien_BAXR6T Member 31 Member For: 13y 11m 12d Posted 09/08/11 09:51 AM Author Share Posted 09/08/11 09:51 AM (edited) yeh it seems its boosting a tiny bit. pulled the turbo of today and found a tiny crack in the wastegate but MTQ said it wasnt leaking at all and the rod and actuator was fine so now im getting a catback system because of a collapsed cat I had, which I replaced with a factory cat section but I reckon all the insides of the cat have gone back in the system and make it restrict flow so it cant boost. and while im at it im gettin a new cooler and piping since the older ones are getting brittle... so they are on the way, really hope it fixes it cooler is HDi SIR-X with turbo to cooler piping and cooler the crossover piping leaving a standard in-take stillexhaust is twin 2.5 xforce catbackhopefully with the turbo breathing properly it will work fine, if not then I know its the turbo itself even if it was cleared by MTQill check ya updated Edited 09/08/11 09:51 AM by Damien_BAXR6T
