an idea what if you pull the turbo off pulled it apart took a grinder to the cold side blades and grinded them off so theres no core than get the wastegate and jam it open put it back on and than only rev the car to 2000rpm/ boostthreshold as not to throw the computer

Any idea why the turbo blew? Turbos should last a very long time in these cars unless very unlucky.

I would be checking that first, no point getting another one just for the same thing to happen? (tuned poorly, too much boost, etc etc)

The insfucient diameter of the oil lines. There have been many blown turbos with worn out bearings due to not enough oil supply.

Seems to be more of a problem at higher boost due to turbine spinning fster and needing more oil,.

Id be looking at the filter rather than the oil line size. If it was the diameter of the line mine would be stuffed by now along with alot of others.

Check out this thread, LINK

would it work do u understand what I ment though just remove all of the blades on the broken wheel so no more could break off, like a turbo with no compressor I reckon it would overspool to the max even with the gate forsed open probly explode

I thin the balance of the core would be out of wack if you pulled the blades off, they spin at a very high rpm so in my opinion I would not do that.

Save the coin and get a replacement turbo core before driving your car otherwise you may do more damage.

Good luck

I understand exactly what you mean 10/10 for thinking outside the box, but this would only work in an emergency situation. Your risking engine damaged If/WHEN the core lets go.

It would overspeed the shaft to the point that it would fail, you would then loose wind up pumping coolant into the sump and oil out the exhaust...

Long story short. Dont do it
