Careful mate, I've done exactly that and it is fairly loud. I've also heard a few others and they are all notably louder over stock. Don't want to give people the wrong idea.

I've got a 5" high flow cat with the centre muffler removed and replaced with twin pipes. Sounds awesome when under boost, can be a little droney at times but overall a really good note. Mines a manual ute btw

As far as FG's go if manual replace the center muffler with a hotdog

So possibly stupid question but I've never seen a hotdog.. I'm assuming it's just a straight through muffler that does slightly less off a job then a normal muffler?

Pretty much, looks abit like a cannon but smaller. I'll try and get pics up, it's quitened down now but still pretty loud. Especially on WOT.

It also pops and burbles pretty loudly now on low speed shifts and if you hold a gear too long then back off. I quite like it.

I dont understand how u guys think only removing the center muffler makes it loud, I have done just this, and its not that much louder then standard, the center muff is actially a resinator and the rear is a muffler, this is on fg ute
