Wagmon has it right.

While the damper can be adjusted, the spring has no preload adjustment. So when you back of the dampers it becomes a bit choppy. No worse than std though. Wind them right on and it is slow to turn and packs up over bumps.

The springs are on the stiffer side for the street. You would not want them any stiffer. For a tight track they are fantastic.

Going below a 340mm ride height and the car will be a slug anyway.

For something on the road 90% of the time they are close to over kill.

Not sure how the std bushes will cope with the extra stress the Teins will make either.

Yep spot on mate.

the bushes in my car are starting to look very second hand that's for sure some torn and others feeling very squidgy while driving. the harder suspension must highlight teh soft bushes alot more than softer springs and shocks.

I have just had a quote from Fulcrum to redo the whole underside of the car in poly bushes and address any allignment issues and while its going to be an expensive excersize I cant wait to get it done because you can tell there seems to be an "imballance" between the suspension and the rest of the suspension system in regards to stiffness and accuracy etc which seems to be mainly the fault of the bushes.

LOL as you can tell Im not any where near a suspension expert but these are probably pretty accurate "seat of the pants" laymans impressions.

Cheers

daily driving, doesnt matter the brand.

if you track it, go the teins, the EDFC (in cabin dampener adjustment) is WELL AND TRUELY NEEDED.

on the street, the EDFC doesnt make 1/100000th of a difference, if anybody tells you that, they have their hand on it :)

I have teins in my FG, I cant recommend them enough for what I do .. but if you want low, they arent the best.

There is a big difference between looking cool and how the car needs to be set up for improved handeling.

I agree with Aaron, no point spending 2k+ on Tein's just to look cool. Odd's are you wont like the ride quality with Tein's because they'll be too stiff.

You're probably better off just getting a good spring/shock combo for ride height. You'll save heaps of money and it will look the same. Just don't expect to be able to go around corners as fast as someone with a coilover setup.
