Any one ever seen this corrosion on a water braided water line fitting for a turbo? The fittings only 4 months old all the other fittings are good just this one has corroded its a Aeroflow Fitting.

It has good quaility coolant and I have had the charging system checked for earth leakage.

The pictures arent great to look at and say what it is. May be corroded on the inside but the hole/guage doesnt look as much like a corrosion issue. In saying that it could be intergranular that caused it but it should be more wide spread.

With whats happened take it back to the supplier and ask for a replacement at no cost.

Aeroflow is a cheaper brand bought in by Rocket Industries....made in China or somewhere.....

Take it back to where you got it and get a replacement.

If anybody wants decent quality fittings, go to Motorsport Connections and buy Speedflow....a much better product for a few bob more....and Australian made to boot!

Just to give you some idea of how good their stuff is.....

Rocket run a Top Fuel dragster and a Nostalgia nitro Funny car.....and even though they are used to promote and market their "Aeroflow" range in signage on the car, EVERY hose and fitting on the racecars is Speedflow....

Goes to show how much faith they have in their own imported product...... :hohum:

The second photograph appears to suggest that the 'fracture edge' or 'corrosion edge' is anodized blue along with the rest of the fitting.

If that is so, then that is the way the fitting was made.
