Plazmaman 1000Hp Cooloer Too Big?

Hey mate, quick question. I'm indecisive at the moment between the 800hp and the 1000hp cooler.

Throttle response is my biggest issue/ lag.

What is your throttle response like with the bigger cooler?

I'm currently pulling 311rwkw and with more mods over the next couple of weeks I want to b around 360-370rwkw.

I've read somewhere if your cooler is "too large" it will create more lag. I thought with u having to experience the larger cooler u would b a better person to ask.

hey mate mines just getting hooked up now so I havent driven it yet ha but the 800 will get u to 360 370 and prob will go on quicker but the 1000hp is great alot of cars run them and they kick on very very well depends what cold air induction aswell there are alot of factors

Cheers mate, ye I'm going to go the plazmaman 4" intake set-up with the airbox. I think I might be leaning towards the 1000. Let us know how u go with your 800. What power will you be chasing with the 800??

Got an 800 on mine, and making 371. Next mods would be 1000 and plenum.

hey croozin yer mate went the biggest couse my aim after my build is over 1000rwhp and not stoping till I get it haha so I went over kill but I no it will do the job and all the big hp cars run them

this is it fitted but still rubing so neet to cut out reinforcemeny bar and it hangs bloody low so end tanks will hang below front bar a few mill so need to cut sections out of that also hahah should be worth it but

Just out of curiousity what is the dimensions of the core on the 1800hp cooler. I tried to look it up on the plaz site but it only sez its 100mm thick.

hey just wondering if any one has fitted 1200hp under xr6 front bar cause if the 1800 cooler doesnt fit under f6 front bar will 1200 fit under xr6 front bar?

The 1200 is an upgraded version of the 1000 cooler , it has more capacity in cooling to handle bigger boost .The fitting is not much more difficult than the 1000 cooler .

The 1800 hp 100mm unit requires some cutting to fit . The more cutting you do the higher off the ground it will sit . Some comprimises have to be made .TRP uses the off the shelf 1800 hp unit .

Will fit fine under the bar, you just have to cut the reinforcement behind it...
