Hi guys, been reading for a while now and finally decided to ask the experts.

The setup so far; BF MkII with premium sound.

Is it possible to replace the stock sub and amp with my own provided Pioneer setup? Is it as simple in regards to running no new cable?

Essentially, I would like to have my own deck installed in the tissue box holder and have that linked with the new sub/amp (stock speakers). Is that possible to just remove what is currently there and have all required wiring there? Or will I need to send away part of my stock setup to have RCA outputs installed?

Thanks in advance.

You'll need to run new power/earth cables mate, and something for a remote wire - the stock amp's remote is only 5V or so I believe, so wont turn your amp on.

As far as signal goes, you can use the plug off the factory sub, and run that into a line level converter, then RCA's from that into your amp.

that's how I'm going to do mine.

Upgrading rest of my speakers to run off the factory headunit too.

Thanks for the reply mate, have any good tutorials to run by?

I figure im just going to run new cables to the amp and treat it as a normal install, leaving the old cables safe but redudant. Deck is the only tricky thing so far with mention of high-low converters etc?

Totally off topic...love the user name! Super NES rocks! Have an emulator on my Galaxy S2 phone so I can play MK2 while waiting for my missus when shopping hahaha :)

Wish I'd held out and bought a BFII with premo sound, to get the colour ICC as well as slightly improved audio...ah well.

Nah no tutorials around that I know of sorry, just going off what I know and have read of other people doing.

Yet to put my amp in.

I just didn't want to stick an aftermarket unit it and lose function of steering controls etc. looks cleaner too.

Pretty sure you can get good results using something like a rockford 3-sixty processor.

Read up on those, designed for oem integration.
