Hey all,

Thanks in advance for any light and/or information you can shed. I guess what I really need, is someone in Queensland that knows fords back to front so that I can get my Typhoon fixed. Its now been 2 months since I've had my motor replaced, and it's still running like sh*t and has 1000 issues. None of these issues existed before the motor was replaced, however.

My brand new & built tough motor made 30kw LESS than my old motor that blew up!! The biggest issue is that since ChipTorque tuned it, I can't even go to over take a car without it coughing and spluttering like a bucket. I mean really, who lets a car go from their workshop that runs like sh*t? If I try to boost it harder, the car literally rocks back and forth from the power surge that is unleashed. On top of that, when you do put the throttle down a bit, the dash lights up like a christmas tree - hand brake light, ETC light, traction and a few others. THEN, the speedo will die after those lights come on, and I have to pull over and turn the car on and off so I have a speedo again.

I've taken it into 3 local ford dealers, all of them no help AT ALL. They all want to charge me $200-$300 for diagnostics, and at the end of that, they have no answers for me and no way to assist me, just blame it on my 20" wheels and 4" exhaust - but these electrical problems didn't exist before the motor was replaced.

So, who's a good tuner/mechanic that might be able to actually be able to fix my car? Or at least want to try and fix it? Because right now, I might as well not even have the car at all, it's pretty much worthless and useless in the state its in.

As said, any help or direction will be awesome. I'm located in Ipswich, but will drive long distances if it means my car being fixed.

Cheers, Mitch.

Give Jamie at fpt a call or Clinton from profile performance both know these cars very well and aren't too far from you.

Take it back to chiptorque if it isnt fixed to standard then go to consumer affairs and you'll either get compensated or they will let chiptorque fix the issues under supervision and pay for the service

I had the same problem, turned out to be connections where the coils plug in

As for the handbrake light you mentioned that actually isnt the handbrake light but a warning light. Its a pity its so similar, you can replicate the lights by pulling the abs fuse out under the drivers fuse bored.

You will get all the lights mentioned and the lose of speedo with that fuse out.

As for you other issues sorry but cant help ya there. Are all the fuses good?
