Rosie Member 361 Member For: 17y 10m 14d Posted 25/07/11 09:59 PM Share Posted 25/07/11 09:59 PM We have entered this event held over Saturday and Sunday, 6th to 7th of August.Unfortunately, due to 'Household' issues, one of our Team members has had to pull out.- We are after 'one' more Team member!The Entry Fee is $400.00 and we have booked self contained, Beachfront accommodation in Cowes, from Thursday, 04.08.11 to Monday, 08.08.11.- We are prepared to waive the accomodation costs. (Total cost was only $800.00 for the time booked).* You must be a Card carrying member of a Cams affiliated Car Club, with a minimum Level 2JS Cams Lisence * Your Car must be able to pass Cams scrutineering!There will be a 'minimum' of '50' Cars on the Track at any one time - While this is a Regularity Relay, requiring a 'nominated Lap time, be aware these guys do go for it!We have also asked the 6 Hour organisers to look for a Team member for us.If you want to have the chance to do '6' 15 Minute sessions at one of our fastest Tracks, in a Race enviroment,please pm asap! Rosie Member 361 Member For: 17y 10m 14d Posted 05/05/12 11:44 PM Author Share Posted 05/05/12 11:44 PM Any info that would help me would be great[/aquote]Short of doing the observed Drivers test, all you have to do is join a Cams recognised Car Club.Once you get your Car Club Membership, you can go on line to Cams, send them the required detail and apply for a 'Level 2 Speed' Cams Licence.- You might then want to study the various Flags/Lights they use to tell you what is going on during a Race.- Too many people do it this way and don't study the Rule Book Cams will issue you, with your Licence.Once you have this you can enter Super Sprints, Hill Climbs and other Cams santioned events!Bear in mind you will have to pass Scrutinering at each event.- Tyres, Oil and Water leaks, etc.And don't forget to have the best Brakes you can lay your Hands on!- No compromising here.
