Youd still probably lose less from a change over than switching boxes not to mention off road time etc.

Sorry to necro this thread, but I am looking at a 2011 FG XR6T ute and am wondering is a simple flash tune all I need to hit 300kw at the engine? Not really interested at going all out but would I even notice the extra 30 odd kw's?

You mention the Waste Gate Actuator as an upgrade.

Do you have to Port out and fit the Bigger flap cover, or is there power gains to be had by just replacing the actuator (less intrusive and less expenditure if OK). I have noticed there are a couple of 12PSI versions (Garret, Turbo Smart and some Asian brands)?

If a 12 PSI Waste Gate Actuator is fitted, does the Vehicle require a Custom Tune?

I have a 2010 50th turbo ,even though it suppose to have 270kw not the case ,,,,b4 any work it came in at about 220 at the rear ,,, stock turbo was made bigger 12psi flapper,,60psi injectors,,4inch dump into a 4inch system,turbo back 1000 cell cat, 40 walbro in tank pump, f6 intercooler ,herrod pipping ,herrod cold intake ,with 3 tunes sct now has 309 at rear can go bigger but better to be safe than sorry can get upto 400 at the rear with mods,,,, but not safe with out more work to internals But has enough to scare some one ,,,So with a few grand can achive what u want but where do you stop ,,,sorry in advance for grammer no good at it cheers ,,, all has been custom tuned by auto tech

^^^ not getting 400 out of the fg turbo mate. 270 is at the motor and not at the wheels. 220kw so its a auto. Just wondering where you got a 1000cell cat to. Might have to get one;)
