Sounds Interesting is yours a Manual? Mine is Automatic and mine doesn't feel scary at all with 300rwkw the Dyno sheet definitely shows power increase everywhere, my XR6T just doesn't seem to be fast enough, might go back to the tuner and see what they can recommend for me

Wow..... Just read entire post. Where do you start?

Purchased a 2012 FG MkII in sexy Sunburst, only 15,000 on clock a week ago.

Great taste in colour. ;)

If you have about 4k to spend, you might want to look at getting a hi flow cat and keep the standard dump pipe and exhaust. Then get a process west stage 2 intercooler and piping kit. Finally id1000 injectors should help to get you into the 300+ club.

Since I have a manual I went all out and added a short shifter to the list. ;)

Just wondering if any body has put a cam in.

Looking at crow cams for around 8hunge and wondering if anyone else has put on in to eat the bottom end pick up abit quicker.

Put them in the Xr8 made a massive difference.

And specs if anyone's done it? Cheers

XR8's need Cam upgrades to make them fast, with the 6 Cylinder Turbos you just raise the boost and maintain your nice low end torque and smooth idle. I have not seen much people upgrade camshafts but am wondering if the factory ones can be improved on with good results all round and keep the VCT.

The autos are lame and boring in comparison to a manual, The best thing to do is get yourself some e85 and then swap out your F6 cooler for something big and you might find that it goes a whole lot better. It will never feel like a manual does but you will always beat them in straight line dragging. depends what you prefer.

I have about 240rwkw in another car which is lighter but then again much smaller motor and less power and it feels very fast so I still recon I got to tweak my XR6T until it drives well, I think the shift pattern is what makes it feel slow, does not kick down to the gear for best acceleration so I guess a ZF Tune might help and other things like more boost. Next step is the Intercooler upgrade.

I found my BF to have alot more of a kick down stock vs stock in drive but through gears the FG mid range stomps the BFs.

Hey guys just paid a deposit on a '11 F6 and am looking at doing a few basic mods to unlock a bit more potential.

What are the more cost effective mods to extract more power?

Also, someone mentioned tuning the ZF auto? What can I do there?

100cpi venom cat 200$, Seimens 60/80lb injectors 330-380$ Process West stage 1 stepped cooler 1500$ custom tune 1500-1600$

You'll have around 340-350rwkw as the F6 has the bigger turbo.

3.5k total for 450-460rwhp.
