Had my 09 fg turbo ute custom tune only and it made 282.9rwkw 840 nm of torque on 16psi ,Had tune done by Bullet Performance racing in Geelong . Was really stoked with such high torque from tune only ,would have made more but still only got the standard actuator.boost tapered back to 13 psi at high rpm . What psi actuator should I go to running 16 psi max mostly use 14psi tune for everyday driving. So next mods to come are actuator, injectors, fuel pump for starters. Awsome thread everyone

Stick with the mode you've listed and add a high flow cat. Search for venom cats on ebay. The ones for fg are bolt in so you can do it yourself. With that combo you'll make 300kw but then you'll have to start looking at your cooler and piping.

hi I have just purchased a 08 fg turbo ute. Its stock and I want to mod it. could anyone point me in the right direction as to a workshop who could do injectors cat and tune possibly a cooler in melbourne apart from nizpro.

I know they are prob one of the best but also the dearest. I also know you pay for what you get so id like to compare and have a look at what my options are.

What kind of power figures could I excpect and what will it roughly cost?..

I would be chasing 320 - 360 rwk even if its on e85.

honest opinions would be great

cheers bill

Direct you right over to PitLane Performance, site sponsor and never ever heard a bad report from there. One you can trust and plenty of people off here been there and had work done :spoton:

Price, best to either ring them up or PM Mick (username: ratter)

Good luck bud and keep us posted on what you decide to go with in terms of mods :)

Hey guys iv spoken to a few tuners about my mk11 fg xr6t ute only mods so far are 4 inch cat back exhaust from x force there saying they will have trouple tuning it with a 4 inch dump and hi flow cat because the 4 inch exhaust flows so well? and the standard turbo needs to be modded to control the boost with the 4 inch exhausts. just wondering if anyone has used this exhaust with unmodded turbo and what power they have achieved? I was after injectors and tune with nex cooler piping but there saying it will be hard to get the low down boost. just a bit confused would be great to hear from someone with same exhaust and see what power they made thanks heaps

Iv found a good tuner that wants to tune it with standard dump and standard cat but I wanted the bigger dump pipe for better sound doyou think I will get better and louder exhaust note with the big dump pipe and high flow cat? thanks

You'll definitely get a better not out of it with a higher flowing dump and cat but it won't be too much different to what yo have now.

Dump pipe doesn't matter so much but the gains you get out of a high flow cat with a tune are well worth it.
