Not yet I'm booked in to see Mick on the 29/8. I haven't noticed it nearly as much lately, I guess because I'm not trying to reproduce it as much. I dropped in some 0.8mm spark plugs and cleaned the absolute sh*t out of the boost solenoid. Helped a bit but not really.

From what I've been reading it could be the actuator is too tight. That seems to be the only answer on here that fixed the problem. Keep us updated when yours is fixed as mine is the same and it's driving me nuts!

Oh no way! Has to be mate either that or some sort of emission/tune issue. Every time I check my faults I have the overboost one though. I have a boost gauge but never seen it spike yet

Searched the forum and had a few good reads. If I see you tonight pull up and we'll have a chat about it.

OK update I just got my car back from Mick, he gave it a touch up with the PW surge tank fitted. I'm very pleased to say my original problem is gone. He lightened my boost up a bit under light throttle but I'll let him explain why and what he adjusted. The car drive's a fair bit smoother now, I can squeeze the go pedal a bit more without it spinning so it feels quicker. I'm 100% pleased now :spoton:

Thanks Mick

Your welcome mate.

To those watching, I was a bit concerned when Joe reported he had a surge as we had no issues when tuning on the dyno, when he dropped of the car to touch up the tune for the surge tank install, I questioned Joe about how and when it surged, it turns out it was under lighter acceleration in higher gears,he would get some surge, what it was doing was trying to generate more boost than required at light/moderate throttle settings, the car only needed a few lbs of boost for the driving conditions but was starting to command closer to the wot boost and it would give the surge that was reported, we adjusted the boost Vs Tps settings and has got rid of the issue.

Is this a common problem?

I have noticed at 4-5000rpm the car feels different below half a tank .... but noticed I have a noisy fuel pump all of a sudden. Like a bipping noise that you get from a sore ear, shall this be my problem fuel pump with a loss of power at these rpms?
