Heres the one I used, straight swap and no worries about the intank fuel line this way.http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SENDER-WALBRO-GSS340-FUEL-PUMP-FORD-XR6-TURBO-XR8-FG-/220675063513?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3361423ed9

I had my head under the bonnet with ignition on and heard a relay buzzing - the ECC relay. Swapped it with my fog light relay which is the same and it's still buzzing. Relay out and no buzz...wtf. I'm going to hook a boost gauge up to see whats happening tomorrow. That relay's stumped me though.

Only with a light throttle putting engine under load it seems to hesitate for a second, it's like there is a dip in the power. You can also hear the induction / turbo change tone while this is happening. You would barely notice it if you were not looking at the tacho at the time.If you floor it, there is no hesitations at all.I was thinking that it might be an emissions thing which is programmed into the ecu as it goes away when you put the boot in? I'm going to hook a boost gauge up to see whats happening tomorrow. That relay's stumped me though.I had that code present in my ecu, with my previous tuners, tune, never was resolved. I also had a boost solenoid pulsing noise(sure it's a relay?, solenoid is close by) with key on at the same time, again was never resolved. Changed tuners, no more codes other than cat efficiency which is explained with the 100cpi cat. With this same previous tune, I did have a misfire like event at 5000rpm plus, but I put that down to valve springs, because when I did them, it went away. Hope to have been some help. FSIX Member 566 Member For: 19y 3m 11d Posted 26/07/11 12:00 PM Share Posted 26/07/11 12:00 PM You'll have to excuse me because I've never felt fuel surging so I can only assume. OK I'll start off my mentioning I had my car tuned 3 days ago (Bosch 42lb injectors), all clamps under the bay are tight, boost solenoid is clean. At 2000rpm with a bit of load on the throttle the car surges as it comes on boost and the revs fluctuate between 2000-2500 for a few seconds and the turbo can be heard pausing in between spooling up. At first I thought it was a tune fault as it did it on the way home 1/2 tank of fuel at 100 when I nudged it a bit to overtake (5th gear D mode). It also started doing it at 60 today if you make it drop down a gear to 2500rpm area. The car behaved like this only once in standard form some time ago accelerating to 60 a few times but am unsure if I was low on fuel on that night.I filled up a full tank and the problem could only be felt about very slightly (wouldn't have noticed if I didn't have my eye on the tacho) then I nailed it going up a hill and it stopped revving at 3000rpm like it had a rev limiter there? Could it possibly surge like that with a full tank of fuel? How did you go with this? as VX8255 stated I remember he had a lot of these symptoms and defiantly the same waste gate code he couldn't get a answer for the code which only appeared after he had it custom tuned. He is an absolute fuss pot so he let some else have a go at the tune along with changing valve springs he never seen any of these issues again..Is it worth putting in factory injectors and flashing in factory tune and see what happens then... I too am pretty fussy with stuff, hopefully it's something that can be ironed out in the tune the more I think about it the less likely to me it seems that it could be fuel pump but I'll get my hands dirty with it when I can drop the fuel level low enough. I'll keep this thread updated.
