The cars have been tested very throughly, I know cause I do it, but we can not test for absolutly everything no matter how hard we try. The production line is the cause of the limiting of option you can get on your cars and for some of the stuff ups. Some of the things that are found at the end of the line would make you laugh. One other thing in defense of the faults that are being seen is that the barra was brought foward to be released rather than when it was originally going to be released, so everything was crammed into a shorter time than normal. Not good enough I know, but that's part of the problem!harasn - not trying to be argumentive but... how are warped brake discs, diff problems and ECU probs caused on the production line? not so much talking about the brake shudder and the like, but it can be caused by dirt on the wheel hub between the mounting of the disc and the face of the hub, but more the things that are fit and finish problems. With the brakes we can cause brake shudder with less than .5 of a milimeter of dirt on the mating face of the brake disc and hub. Just something to keep in mind if your working on a car after EL. make sure its all spotless when putting it back together.

God im safe. Does the noise occur when the car is in neutral, stationary and then you rev it? Does the noise come from the left corner of the dash in a sedan or from the left rear of the cabin in the ute? It could be the control module for the window aerial. it was a problem right up until release but I havn't seen it yet in a production car. The noise will happen if the radio is on or off I think. Guest MintEAFalcon Guests Posted 04/02/03 10:35 PM Share Posted 04/02/03 10:35 PM Just think of how bug free the Series II will be As for flashing the ECU. Does anybody know if Ford have different code versions for different models? Are there any security measures in place to stop the work experience kid from flashing the ECU with the older code or code from a different model?Just a thought. Guest cralli Guests Posted 04/02/03 10:41 PM Share Posted 04/02/03 10:41 PM Hmmm....have noticed this a couple of times myself, at around $1.15 and it seems to be an aerodynamic 'problem'. I've also noticed it when trucks go past the other way, but it's only a brief one then.

It seems to buzz in tune with the revs, but with the radio on or off

Will have to wait till the car doors are updated for that one to be fixed. usually only noticeable with strong winds and the like
Guest XR6T BEAR Guests Posted 05/02/03 05:44 AM Share Posted 05/02/03 05:44 AM nope car isnt a auto, its a manual with only 4 gears, 5th is just I big whole of neutral and a slight rattle, going back to the dealer to have a look at it. its a company car and I think the deliverer from the company killed 5th gear somehow, dont know how that could happen but ill be buggered if I can find anything there, ive tryed for an hour to find it but havent yet. ive heard that the t5 isnt the most cooperative gearbox in the world but im sure 5th gear is not this hard to find.but other than that the car is fantastic and much better than the au2 fairmont ghia and 10 times better than the vt calais which the brake caliper fell off because the servicer didnt bolt them back on tight enough. lucky the caliper wasnt ripped off and I would of had no brakes.update on ford forumshttp://www.fordforums.com/showthread.php?t...?threadid=31324
