Yeah GIANT agree with you 100%. Had problems with my EL XR6 ie: Camber way out of spec, had problems with them putting the whole camber kit in, but having said that they now know me :o Had the rear fire wall black cover split (twice) they replaced it no probs.

The 'Bird' is going great, only probs to date are a passenger side demister grill lifting and whistling noise comming from top centre of wind screen. Only done 900 k so far, but know they will fix these probs.

The only other prob is I have hit the rev limiter twice in 2nd, oops..... getting too used to the car

Have found that cheap fuel is not a good idea. Normally use BP Premium but filled up the other day with Woolies Plus 'premium' (yeah had the shopping docket for 4 cents per litre off), noticed a marked decrease in cars performance, won't make that mistake again :o

Be aware that if you get your coolant replaced/flushed that none of it has been splashed/spilled on your paintwork namely front guard, as this stuff can remove the clear/factory coat, this happened to my EF and I only noticed it several weeks after job was done, there we're about a dozen spots that I couldnt blend back into the origional paintwork, wash this stuff off immediately.

Have the car in at the service dept today to get the brake shudder looked at, also when I unlock the car the drivers side window goes down???

Same thing happened to me 7 weeks ago dude. went for it's first service. I walk to my car and unlock it 10 metres away, think, hmmm, they left the window down for me. how nice, CONSIDERING IT'S RAINING!!! Anyway, 7 weeks ago, just got it fixed last Thursday!

Backlog from Ford in Melbourne and damnitt!! I didn't score the fairmont 'hoitty toitty' classy switches that illuminate. Just the standard switches. oh well.

Oh yeah, brake shutter, guys. 5,000k's on the clock, rotors are shot completley, already warped, replaced under warrranty. 5,000k's??? I'm missing the Silhouette AU III VCT already.

That really makes you wonder what would happen if you were rear ended in a BA, would the seat just collapse form underneath you?

How did the car ever pass ADR testing as seat mounts would have to pass some sort of integrity testing. Surely :o

Mondie,

I think ed-au-ba-xr6 is talking about the plastic suround around the base. Not the seat it self. Not a safety issue just a pain!. Having said that I have had my car for 2.3 weeks and can not faulty it (Yet!) Driven 1010km.. B)
