I didn't have any problem determining the fact that it was a compilation of ALL complaints so far, and not just one vehicle - maybe it's because I READ the posts in the thread ....

Well put together PHNTUM - I'm sure it will be a great help to all current owners and prospective purchasers - forewarned is forearmed eh?

And remember also - it really is a case of many of the complaints being one-off or predelivery related, rather than a "lemon" model vehicle.

Maybe im no english expert but I sure as hell have a good knowledge on the BA.

And people with no respect piss me off and maybe next time ill just keep that kinda information to my self.

But I kinda expected that response from some people cos when I first jioned this forum and posted questions about problems on BA turbo I was accused of being a Expensive Daewoo freek looking for dirt on the new ford BA turbo.........................like yeah that's why I bought one.

That's a bit harsh mate. I dont think anyone doesn’t respect the fact that you've gone to the trouble of collating all this info. All we were suggesting is to make it clear that it was a collection of problems reported by a lot of different members. A simple mention of this at the top of your message will do the trick.

I cottoned on pretty quick that it was a collection of problems from different members, due to having already read the thread, but it should be made clear from the beginning of your post so there is no confusion.

What would be better rather than cutting and pasting people’s comments directly is to edit them so that it’s point by point factual form (I.e. take out references of “I found such and such” and personal reports associated with incidents, to just leave the problems themselves).

Keep up the good work though. It's a good resource and I just hope I dont have to refer to it with any problems I get in the future.

Just a thought in regard to the whistle in the radio..... in my old VL turbo, when slightly off station, I could hear the turbo spooling up through the speakers.... weird but true.. might be inducing a current somewhere. the whistle changed pitch as the turbine sped up

Just ask, say, a Nissan dealer how many faults they see on Nissan Maximas at PD or, for that matter, by the 100,000km service. The likely answer is "none", or "only rarely". That explains why Maxima owners have a very high degree of satisfaction with their cars -

Hmmmm, whilst I see your point I think if you went back to nissan and asked the same question in regards to the s15 200sx I think you will get a very different answer.

On the s15 list im on many of the owners have come to call many of the cars problems as "the cars characteristics", and normal.
