My car went in today to have the wistling windscreen repalced, the dealer didn't replace it they added a black rubber strip to the top of the screen, doesn't look to bad. Hope it fixes the problem

Latest problem.

RHS rear passenger door seam. The paint has cracked away leaving exposed metal. Surface rust ALREADY!!!!!! Unbelievable. Another warranty "Yay lets wait for Ford to approve another job".....3 weeks later.

Another two problems.

Turbo whistling through rear parcel tray speakers.

Plastic on rear drivers side pillar broken. I assume it was done when they were fitting the mobile car kit antenna.

Turbo whistling through rear parcel tray speakers.

this is very unlikely since the noise must be electrical inteferance and last time I looked my turbo wasn't electrically driven...

Seriously though, this is probably alternator whine.

I kind of figured that RD when I read a post on it ages ago...

I got another two problems again and I think they might be related.

Today when in reverse the car stalled on me.

Normally when you put an auto in reverse the car moves. When I put it in reverse it doesn't move for a couple of seconds, then surges, then stops, then stalls, then when I start it up again it goes through the same process.

Sounds like that VCT Solenoid (spelling?) problem some of you guys have been having.

Update: It surges / pulses between 500rpm and 750 rpm.

After exactly 3 months on the road, and 6,400kms, coolant leak from a failed water pump O ring (leading to near overheating). All fixed now.

Got the software update to fix up the surging/stalling issue at the same time as above problem fixed. Have only driver home from the dealer to my place (<3kms) so can't say if it has had much impact.

Cro - the lastest flash to the ecu sorts out a lot of the idle/surge stuff B)

I thought so.

Being a May build you would think it would have the latest flash on it already though....
