To all Ford fans and supporters out there,

My family and I just got back from a good weekend from Melbourne, and one of the things I was looking forward to seeing the Ford stand and any other nice sporty and fast cars on showcase from all different manufacturers at the International Motor Show.

We entered at gate number 1 where they had the Peugeot stand was they had some nice cars on display but it was not my cup of tea. Next to it was the HSV, and Expensive Daewoo stand, the first thing my family and I seen was the HSV'S flagship GTS, we were impress with the styling on the outside and also the inside. Also on showcase is the new Redline Bogan special Commodore, and also the Limited Black Edition HSV'S. Which my brother said that there are only 250 units to be made. My brother is a assistant manager of a Expensive Daewoo dealership in Melbourne. Mate they were hot!!! I am a Ford man but I also appreciate other cars that is well design and looks tough and menacing. Upon seeing what cars HSV and Expensive Daewoo has to offer in the very near future I could not wait to see the Ford, and FPV stand to see what hot Fords will be on offer to the us Ford Fans in the future.

When we got to the Ford stand the new Ford coyote caught my eye gee whiz they are nice, also on display was a new shape GT, that also is nice looking car; the only thing was the color FPV and Ford chose is black even the wheel are black. In my opinion they should have pick a different color, it was very hard to see the outline on the cars body. It was very hard to compare the difference style between the current shape Boss 335 GT, to the new version.

I can say more about the FPV / FORD display but it kills me to see that once again we are beaten by HSV / Holden. FPV and Ford did not have the FG F6, GS, XR6T and any XR8 on display; and the only ute on display is a GS. that was also nice. Compare to the HSV and Expensive Daewoo stand I really think that FORD and FPV could have done a lot more better. Even the FPV/FORD mechandises on offer to buy, was very poor. There was hardly any variety to choose from; again compare to the HSV/Expensive Daewoo had a massive mechandise to choose from.

When will Ford learn? Ford needs to Improve there marketing strategy in able to compete with Holden/Hsv. In my mind; I would not be surprise if some die hard Ford Fans/Customers will be seriously thinking going somewhere else to purchase there muscle cars. Ford needs to rethink on how to attract new buyers and also retain old ones.

I am very disappointed how Ford perform very poorly with there displays at the motor show; it would have been a great opportunity for Ford/FPV to reel in future buyers.

I dont bother going because of this...

As well as the fact that it's overpriced for parking and to get in... And they font offer anything to do... You used to be able to thrash a car around the back or go in a test 4wd car...

Motor Show = sh*t...

Couldn't agree more FF....

When Ford/FPV went through cost cutting measures a couple of years back, the first department to suffer was marketing.

Then, they chopped the V8Supercars budget down just to shoot themselves in the other foot as well....

What your describing is typical of Ford's woeful attempt at trying to keep up while spending the least amount possible.... :fool:

Really, its like comparing McDonalds with the local takeaway.....the takeaway may have the better burger, but the gang still wants Maccas....is it any wonder?

I'm thankfull in a way, that the late Geoff Politis, who worked so hard to get us back on keel with HSV in the sales race isn't around to see this current debacle...

I'm sure he'd be turning in his grave..... :nono:
