Hi-torque did both Mark's and mine. He opted for a softer shift - not much over stock - which shows why tuners need to spend time on these things to suit individual needs. I got sick of the gear hold post engine tune and it felt a bit 'slippy' to me also. So for me, I wanted it feeling like it was part of a 300+rwkw car - not a limo with squishy shift. That's the beauty of this deal - you can dial it in how you want.

I think its fair enough requiring tuning shops to complete a one day training session for ZF tuning. I take the point that most (not all) workshop tuners can't comprehend a written a manual very well, probably left school at year 10 after failing basic maths and english and need to be spoon fed (most of the training session probably goes in one ear out the other). I am sure the training sessions are a good money earner also (not really fair exploiting the dumb though).

However its a bit unfair to those who have half a brain, can comprehend what they read and wish to tune their own cars (I am not referring to myself, referring to those backyarders who have purchased the advantage software for themselves)

How about allowing backyard tuners access to the software along with a manual and maybe a DVD of the training session.
