u sure veva?

when I spoke with martin donnan the bloke who wrote most of this stuff with herrod (ie martin is herrods tuner) refer to first post he said its capable of multiple modes at once so essentially u could have soft shift in auto mode then hard in perf but it had to be configured (tuned) but the parametors were there

if I can think back I reckn I asked if it could be as detailed as in auto mode normal then perf and activate the electronic stall to work and then lock back up again in auto mode. and I believ he said its all there just time needs to go into it

Give your mate at herrod another call. Herrod only told me last week it was not possible, the btr you can set up that way but with the ZF what ever tune is placed into drive then performance mode is simply 10% firmer.

veva all depends who u spoke to at herrod the bloke u want to speak with is street tuner aka martin donnon hes commented many times throughout the zf tuning threads

the problem is out of the 200 odd tuning tables for the zf not all ahve been played with yet as the time it takes is large to even muck around with the tables they know do things its still very unexplored territory yet, hence why at the training day they got asked to colaborate any new findings to help all tuners master the zf quicker, but saying that is was expressed to me that the possiabilitys were almost unlimited electronically

My tuner offered to set my tranz up with both configurations, after I complained about the hard 1st - 2nd shift when it was first done. It now shifts firm 'ish' in normal mode and significantly harder in performance mode. My only issue now is that in performance mode it tends to hang on still a bit in 3 - 4 gear shift. That depends on a couple of things though like, am I going down a hill, or did I just boot it but not totally lift off. Nowhere near as bad as stock though.

Anyone that doesn't believe me about my setup I'm more than happy to take them for a drive :locomotive:

Should have said also that by far and away the hardest shift now is when I manual change. My understanding is that this because it's solenoid controlled and not by shift tables (thanks Mick, lol).
