It might still be early, but have you tried your local Ford wrecker, I'm sure they will start to see these cars coming through. (Hope that they haven't been written off with a front end accident) I guess the other option might be through your local smash repairer. Whether they need to supply vin numbers when ordering parts I don't know but worth looking into.

In terms of warranty each Ford dealer have their own philosophy on whether it would be covered or not. For example one Ford dealer in Vic I asked about lowering my car, he said as long as you dont go to stupid on lowering and importantly do both the springs and shocks, not just the springs they would honor any suspension related claims. Whereas another Ford dealer I asked said flat out No.

G'day Howsee . Who did you get yours through ? , I also live in brisbane and have spoken to a few dealers even the one that I bought my car of and they have all told me no chance unless I can prove I own a GT , so I started to give up on the idea .

Have you got any pics of your install ?.

Howsee has a GS, not a T, so it came with it.

Pics?

And John, I paid $250 for my Growler mate. I sold my V8 box and K&N for $100 so the growler owes me $150 - if my maths is correct, lol.

I think if you can get one of these factory airbox setups and it isn't hard to fit (yet to see photos) then it might be a good thing. IMO, if I was going to go to that trouble - trimming bits etc - I'd probably just go a turbo side. Look forward to seeing some pics and info on what's needed to fit it.

I have heard of more than a couple of these cars being fitted with BPR airboxes, so perhaps the factory intake isnt all that great, that said any intake on your turbo is fine ive had stock xr8 bpr and turbo side on mine and its all the same bar the noise if you ask me, factory was the nicest, but I have bpr now, I dont know why LOL

I'm still here malarky, bomber that's a great price for a growler, for that money youd barely get a K&N replacement filter, I was more referring to people getting them brand new.

As mentioned I have the GS315 which has the same intake setup as the GT335 and I have heard about the BPR CAI setup being used and I may look at that option in the future. The next thing I will be looking at is intercooling, that is a critical element I feel with these engines.

After owning two turbos, one with a growler and the other with turbo side CAI setup if take turbo side any time, but for factory setup I'd use either a growler of gt intake so to get the highest flow of cool air as possible.

Either way you're onto a winner
