The bonnet profile is different also so will be keen to see how nicely people trim the box to make it fit and still look decent. Actually, the bonnet goes up with the V8 hump so it will probably have a void. Edited 15/11/11 10:13 AM by Bomber

The supercharged Gt air box and snorkel is the exact same part number as the xr8 set up. And yes, it fits into my fg turbo perfectlyWhat hose did you use to hook it up? The stock turbo one? The hose going to the throttle body on the GT looks a hell of a lot bigger than the turbo one....Like the others said- pics would be awesome

The filter is 157.10.. Total $350.70. A friend of mine knows a guy at ford so at a trade price it would probably be under $300.Front part $93.30Back part $100.30K&N filter $106.40 .......makes the maths easierTotal = $300 - don't know where you guys were getting $450 from

Just go turbo side intake. It greatly reduces lag. There is no supercharged XR8. So the other poster obviously bought an older air box setup. The only growler you guys should be worried about is the one in your girlfriends pants Edited 16/11/11 01:07 AM by arronm

Compared to the bargain basement price of $450 for a growler kit you're $150 ahead. The growler are a great item, I have used one on my xr6t and they perform really well, however people afraid of warranty work being rejected or police hassles should steer clear, speaking from personal experiences here. They were good value for money and did make good gains as people on here, as well as I, would agree. But they are expensive...On the other hand, you have a factory made, stamped and highly effective CAI product, that performs essentially in the same manner as a growler, without the hassles from police (being a genuine ford product) and also no warranty hassles, with a product you're saving money on an one that performs well past 400rwkw...I have the GS315 and a lot of my mates have F6 310's and they are almost all wanting to get their hands on the new FPV intake setup of the Coyote, and if I had an FG turbo and knew this CAI would fit, work well, be a cheaper option and be a genuine part I would definately choose it over most other types of CAI's.I'm not bagging SS inductions setups, and even if they are a sponsor they are supplying parts for FORD and FPV vehicles, and I'll always, ALWAYS choose factory parts if they perform as well as aftermarket parts.Marky remember what sort of fuel pump you have running in your car, cause forum sponsors provide Bosch fuel pumps that run superbly, but you have a FPV GT 335 fuel pump in yours...Just my 2cents :-):-)

I then took the car to south side ford and they did the warranty work without a hassle, different dealers different opinions per se. If I didn't give a hoot about warranty and had the money id go growler or turbo side induction, but since most FG turbos are still under warranty I'd assume most owners would like to keep things as factory as possible :-) Edited 16/11/11 08:27 AM by Howsee
