Nobody sponsors the forum, entities pay to advertise.

If we all followed the same tangent as you two groupies are hinting at then it'd be pretty dull. In fact there was a request very recently to remove something that was said a while back out of a fear that someone's feelings may have been hurt. Short/selective memories it seems.

I think we should just wait for some pics

where the hell are they?

anyway this is a good factory option for guys out there. and if the price it competative then so be it, its a bonus for ford for having something priced reasonably for a change.

I may be wrong, but a performance upgrade is a performance upgrade, whether it's a genuine Ford part from another model or a Growler or a Hyundai part.

I don't see how it would make any difference to the people at the service department when you're trying to claim warranty and they can see you've made a performance upgrade and are looking for a way to make you pay for whatever's just crapped itself on your car.

I would think that if the car isn't as it was when it rolled out the factory door, then that modification would be, at least, considered when it came to whether it would be claimable or not.

If not, does that mean I can fit a shaker bonnet scoop ? As long as it's genuine ?

Just hade a rather interesting chat with ford about this CAI , and was promptly told that if in anyway I was to replace the standard air box with the CAI in question that it would void any warranty and that ford would take no responsibility . They also made it very clear that I would need to prove that I owned a new FPV . ( think old mate tried to jump his misses this morning and she slapped him , real grumpy bloke ).

I would love to fit this CAI to my FG T and am not to worried about the warranty per say as Im going to be keeping my car well into the future .

Question 1 / Is this something that anyone else has heard from Ford ?.

Question 2 / If you Ford will not sell this product to anyone who dosnt own a FPV then how do you get your hands on one ?.

Question 3 / dose anyone really know weather this CAI will fit .

When I hear this from a few different dealers it will be confirmed, we all know how much they differ on this sort of thing.

If someone can lend me there FPV credentials I'm happy to be the guiniepig. Provided Lazz1007 can't produce some pictures. Or in fact brought the XR8 box.

Have seen a GS go back to back on the dyno with the std airbox and a bluepower airbox and it gained a no BS 10rwkw with the Bluepower. GT looks good but that's about it and is defectable (in Vic anyway) on our cars because it's not enclosed.
