Posted 04/07/11 07:45 AM Share Posted 04/07/11 07:45 AM Ok guys I know there has been alot of threads with dba vs rda but I have found 2 different packages witch 2 different prices. The first package is a set of 322mm RDA golds with slotted and drilled ( dimple ) with EBC red pads for $500 front left and right. The second deal is DBA 4000 322mm slotted with ferodo ds2000 pads for $640 Both left and right. Which one sounds like the best option for my car? I do the quarter mile every now and then and just drive the car to work.

If you are buying because you want to upgrade the brakes to get better stopping power, than look for a set of PBR performance brakes that are 325mm x 32mm disk and C6 calliper. They would be miles ahead of standard BF brakes.

I was told about the ferodo pads, That the best ones they have need to get very hot to work better and then there was the ds2500 which are still a race pad and then the ds2000 are more of a street use. Which ones did you have?

aiboart Member 665 Member For: 19y 11m 9d Posted 05/07/11 10:34 AM Share Posted 05/07/11 10:34 AM There can be no argument. Aussie quality is OK but let's face it Aussies are a self styled heroic bunch who like to invent solutions to problems as they occur. This is anathema to QA and precision. These are in essence about following the rules come what may. Germany and Japan are rules following societies by nature and as a result the precision, if not the result, is brilliant. Chinese quality is an oxymoron.

I've had DBA's on my last two cars and they've been good...

I'd vote for DBA on the quality argument. But I've never tried RDA so really my opinion is only half the story!
