Henz Tampon inserted, Auto Acquired, next purchase a new handbag Donating Members 9,946 Member For: 16y 9m 19d Gender: Male Location: Vic Posted 07/07/11 07:43 AM Share Posted 07/07/11 07:43 AM Test drive a ute and a sedan and you can tell the difference straight away. The ute is noticeably quieter from the engine bay and the exhaust. Bit an exhaust will fix that.

I really hope this gets sorted ASAP cranny

My ute has now done 2000km. Hoping it will loosen up a bit and give me a little more. I jumped into my 08 fg xr8 ute after around 10000km one day and it was like a light was switched on. You could notice the power diference.

They may well just tell you to follow process and liaise with the dealer, but if you are unsatisfied, then it wont hurt to try the direct line.I will unavailable until early next week as I'll be on a plane, but am here until midday Sunday.Hope it goes well for you. I did notice however this morning on a cold start that there was quite a loud bearing slash tappet noise coming from the drivers side bank. it went softer as the motor got warm. Sounds like a big end bearing failure....

cranny Donating Members 123 Member For: 16y 9m 10d Gender: Male Location: Sydney NSW Posted 20/07/11 02:10 PM Author Share Posted 20/07/11 02:10 PM Sorry guys I have been flat travelling with work. the updates so far:my dealer cant find the fault.Fpv Engineers cant find the Fault.there is another case exact same up in Newcastle I have spoken with him and the dealer.FPV practically rebuilt and replaced parts in his motor and they couldn't find the fault.(his car was shipped back to FPV) My dealer has told me to keep driving until he gets further word from FPV on what to do. I am quite concerned iam driving around with a car that sounds like a 1927 ford on start up and has a very loud ticking ratching noise on throttle.when I first took the car back to my dealer it took them three days to check over my car and on the third day I received a call saying come pick up your car there is no problem everything is normal.I was very frustated to say the least I marched down there and took the service manager for a drive in under 30 secs he agreed there was a problem.another thing to add was those three days that my car spent at the dealership I was told the car was locked away out of the weather and on two occasions the car was left out in the cold under a tree. great way to treat a unhappy FPV customer. I dont want to rant to much but you guys get the picture. I will keep u guys informed as to what happens next. I also have recordings of the noises which I have sent to the dealer but still they insisted they were normal.
