Xyra New Member 3 Member For: 18y 2m 5d Posted 02/07/11 11:40 PM Share Posted 02/07/11 11:40 PM Definitely can be done - my fiance's done it in the driveway twice now.The crossmember, yoke and bellhousing needed to be changed to match the 6 speed. In addition he had to get the ba mk 2 engine harness because it has the standard plug for the 6 speed gearbox harness (unlike the ba mk 1). He also had to get the gearbox wiring harness from ford to connect it up. The clutch didn't need to be changed.Once you convert it over, you'll notice the diff ratio at the back won't quite match anymore and it will probably drive you insane. You could either go a 3:73 ratio for a factory change, or if your going to the trouble of replacing it you may as well go 4:11.Good luck! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
