Road Circuit

This area consists of about 1.8 kilometres of bitumen road. Combined with Circuit C, the total road area is 3.5km. The circuit has been built with cambers, corners, hairpin bends, floodway, multi-lanes and sweeping curves to enable drivers to understand, experience and learn the driving techniques required to safely negotiate these hazards.

The road circuit represents a safe, controlled, simulated training environment that also provides an undercover viewing platform with whiteboard facilities.

Skid Pan

The Skid Pan, sometimes referred to as the Skid Prevention Area, is a purpose built facility consisting of two areas:

slow manoeuvring area for light vehicles

a figure eight-shaped concrete circuit layout that allows drivers to understand the causes and experience the effects of skidding in wet conditions. The experiential learning gained from this activity will assist individuals to better understand understeer, oversteer, acceleration and braking in wet conditions.

The skid pan area includes an undercover observation area and an amenities block.

(All Good untill I read this!!)

Important items to note:

There is to be no drifting.

The centre is designed as a training complex and is not a race track. There are speed limits which must be adhered to at all times. The maximum speed limit on the road circuit is 80km.

Yeah it's a state govt. facility so all the nanny rules are in place, would be awesome fun at full pace if they allowed it.
