Has anyone tried putting diff gears in these cars to lower the rpms a bit? I do a lot of 100km/h driving and it revs at about 2000rpm, where I would like it a bit lower. Would it have a massive effect on acceleration, being a turbo and all?

BA F6's only came in manual.

Try getting hold of some 3.45:1 gears out of a 5speed BA & having a crack. May make it fairly sluggish in the lower gears though as it is quite a big step backward from 3.73:1

But the speed sensor is in the gearbox isn't it? So the back wheels would be turning at a different speedthan it thinks with different diff gears. The same effect that different size wheels has.

No speed is derived from the rear abs sensors.............

There is no speed sensor on the gear box
