I do a lot of 100km/h driving and it revs at about 2000rpm, where I would like it a bit lower. Would it have a massive effect on acceleration, being a turbo and all? May make it fairly sluggish in the lower gears though as it is quite a big step backward from 3.73:

So the back wheels would be turning at a different speedthan it thinks with different diff gears. The same effect that different size wheels has.
