At the same time? It comes with the bushes you need to replace on the actual sway bar. But there is heaps of other bushes, but they aren't any easier to replace with the sway bar off.

To improve handling however, I would do the lower control arm bushes in a urethane bush (superpro), they are a soft hydraulic filled bush that are good for quietness, but not much else. It will make the car track better, and not 'wander' as much, it will also save the insides of your tyres under braking.

If you like to keep road noise down and have some comfort left, leave the other front end bushings as rubber.

The lower bushes are best done by a mechanic as they are a pain in the arse to do.

cheers, will follow this approach

I'd do the upper control arm bushes as well - cheap and quick to do

I have I have notices significant improved rear end grip with 27mm, especially in the wet, but have noticed a bit of under steer through some tight turns especially round abouts. IMO if you have under-steer you are going to hot into the corner. I might invest in some 22mm rears and see if there is some improvement to reduce under-steer.

If you're getting understeer you are going too fast for the ability of the car. If you make the car more able you can go faster, no need to settle. A rear sway bar will reduce your rear end grip, do you want that when you actually like the way the rear is now?

I took my rear sway bar off after I put the front 27mm on, picked up more rear end grip and a lot more front as well. Car is a lot more balanced now. Try, it, it's free.

I would balance your car out with decent springs and dampers first. Then adjust it with bars if needed.

Std springs and no bars might be a bit too soft and cause major lateral movement.

With the Teins I have set right, I find the car handles best with the std bars. If we had a decent track like EC or PI where you could get out of third I would consider stiffer bars. I still would try it without first though I think.

You're right, look at sways after springs and shocks. Sway bars are just to change understeer/oversteer tendency, more of a fine tuning aid once you have the springs and shocks where you want them. That's why race cars have adjustable roll bars in the cabin so they can dial in/out over/under steer on the fly. They certainly don't do it to make the car feel flatter in a corner.

Wholesale suspension is a long time site sponsor. Give Pat a pm or call and he will give you the good oil. He knows his stuff.

Work out your budget first though so he knows what to offer you.

Well it's been ages since I have seen this thread.

Went for power first haha

Now I have a super pro front bush set and looking at 30mm and 22mm adjustable F&R sway bars.

I also have some SSL springs.

After reading some comments here, having the 30mm with the 22 on the rear will I loose rear end traction? With 350rwkw I have enough trouble haha only thing that holds my rear end is the nitto invos!
