Any real reason why you want to use mechanical instead of an electronic one? These two threads might help a bit, tripod gauges boost gauge.

What kind of setup have you got?

well iv just heard the mechanical boost gauge is more accurate.

and at the moment iv only got a kompact series BOV, but im slowly gathering 3.5inch xforce system with 4 inch dump, bigger injectors and just a tune

With todays technology the electronic gauges are just as good as mechanical ones. Its really down to whether you want to plumb the air line into the cabin or just wires. And just T it in between the intake manifold and BOV is probably easiest. Or T it between intake manifold and fuel reg.
